1 March 2007 - Aker Kværner ASA ("AKVER") announces that on 28 February 2007 AKVER purchased 33 000 own shares on the Oslo Børs at an average price of NOK 711,39 per share.

Following the transaction, AKVER holds a total of 433 000 own shares, representing 0,78% of total shares outstanding.
